Psalm 23:1-6.

Today as I read my Bible I have come to my favorite Old Testament chapter my heart beats with so much joy when I read this chapter and I notice my LORD is my shepherd.

I enjoy knowing this because this chapter most times is a funeral chapter but it’s not just that it’s a powerful message for all to gain a Joy and great hope even when death maybe nearby.

Vs 1.The Lord is my shepherd I shall not want.

Today as you read this you should notice king David knew The Lord as his shepherd.

being a shepherd himself in his younger years he knew what it meant to protect and love the one he was set to watch over he knew if one of the sheep strayed away he was the one who needed to search it out and bring it back to the herd.

We have a shepherd who does that just for you and I his name is Jesus Christ the lord who died for our sins he is alive today forevermore and wants to bring you back to his fold because he is our mighty shepherd who loves us with and everlasting love he will leave the fold just to come and find the one of us who has wonder away and bring us back safely to His loving arms.

Luke 15:4.4] What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it?

We have that amazing shepherd always bringing us back to his fold but most don’t really want to stay there because the world seems to have so much to offer to bring them joy.

Friends the Lord is our king shepherd he knows how to keep us safe when the world seems to hurt us and I believe David knew this and I have been thinking about do we truly know this?

Listen sometimes when you are away from God grace it gets you into so much trouble that it can truly hurt your testimony with God.

It’s simple to live for the world but there is only one way to heave and there is a million ways to hell.

There is a great preacher named Leonard Ravenhill one of my most inspiring pastors I listen to and he had such a powerful message that made me realize that if I you want live for the world you can you don’t have to believe in the name of Christ you don’t have to hear his Word you can just live freely in the world but listen there is a shepherd who is seeking us out to bring us back to safety.

Because that’s our shepherd he always leaves the 99 and comes to seek the lost!!

Why is it that the world has so much to offer in your mind friend but I have This to say God has so much more to offer he has a mansion waiting for you in heaven where the pastures are always green and lush with those still waters to give such great nourishment for you and I to live peacefully and joyfully.

He restoreth our soul and cleans us of the sins of the world that kept us from his love he keeps us safe as we walk through the valley of the shadow of death by showing us the light to help us stay on his righteous paths frien isn’t it amazing know to know he has the staff and a rod to comfort us as we walk through our Christian walk with him leading us to the table he prepared before the presence of our enemies we get such the greatest meal to eat while the enemies we had in our live are there to not eat but watch us stay nourished as they just become a fading memory because surely goodness and mercy shall always follow us all our days to help us always stay faithful to Christ and when we go to sleep.

We will awake and we will dwell in the house of the Lord forever with God where we will have the greatest joy and peace forever with him as we think on these versus let them bring a calm heart to you because he is the shepherd that is seeking you and I out today to bring us to the fold to keep us safe and to show us amazing grace and love as you go about your day keep this chapter in mind and keep your eyes upon Jesus Christ don’t stray but stay with him because he will keep you safe and guide you to still nourishing waters and lush fields of glory God Loves you friends God Bless you this fine day.
