Today I’ve come to an interesting verse here in the book of proverbs in chapter 6:20.
In this verse King Solomon is giving instruction to his son Rehoboam and telling him to (keep thy Fathers commandment and forsake not the law of thy mother.)
Now today I see this come to mind as that verse moves around in my thought and I sometimes see children not obeying their parents commands listen we are stubborn creatures we don’t like to listen to people who have authority over us.
Children are quick to break rules and treat others as if they don’t know their parent is there.
I do not aim this at anybody I know because I know everyone is a good parent that I know we try so hard to have our kids to obey Gods law and our rules in our households.
But there are people when ur in store tell their children to stop doing things over and over and over again but what happens the child still disobeys the parent.
I’ve dealt with this many a times with my son most times he will listen but there is a thing I notice he rebels and does it in spite of my command see the problem today is children do not care about anyone else but themselves they are selfish creatures indeed.
But we know as parents we must have the not break rules and not act out.
Solomon here gives insight to a wisdom that we as parents need today we have lost our wisdom in teaching our kids to settle down and listen to reason we have lost the wisdom because most times we overlook things and say man I don’t wanna deal with this right now and we just go about our day and never look upon that problem again til it needs attention again believe me I know I have done it but there is a good thing to know Christ Jesus love us and is here to guide us we just got to keep trusting in him and we must tell our children how to be faithful in Christ so maybe then they will listen to us and respect us Amen.
