Today I come to the Bible to give a wise devotion and it brings to the book of John chapter 13:34-35.

Here we see our Lord speaking to his disciples and giving them a new commandment.

34. A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

35. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.

Today Jesus is giving not just the disciples this command over 2000 years ago but to us even today.

Yesterday me and my wife was out and stopped to get some groceries and we saw this man with 2 canes and carrying a bunch of bags.

This man who I found out later is named Jay this man after we left the store we seen walking on the sidewalk in our town struggling to get home so he could go to the store again this poor man lives on top of the hill in our town and he walks this hillside with not one but with 2 canes me and my wife pulled over and I walked across the road to the sidewalk he was on and walked up to this man and asked if I could give him a ride overcome with joy he accepted the help.

You see this man I found out broke his Femur and his hip in an accident I introduced myself and took the bags he was struggling to carry and put them in my jeep and let him in the back seat drove him to a dollar store so he could run in a grab 2 cans of pop he came out I drove him home and carried his groceries into his house I feel today happy I could do such a service for this man I don’t know if he is saved or not but I know when I was leaving I gave him my business card and he told God Bless you.

See loving one another is an important task for all of us I for one usually don’t do much in help wise cause I’m busy most times but I see the Lord put this man into my path to see if I would just walk away or just drive away I am not sure why but I feel that’s a test given to me to see if I will be willing to put myself out there for the work of Christ to show his love for everybody who is desperate for help.

It’s easy sometimes to just ignore people where they are but it’s written here by Christ that we need to love one another love is an amazing thing to have because Christ loved us so much that he gave his own life for us.

Helping those in need or even speaking the gospel to them is showing love for our fellow man its imperative that we show Christian love to everybody we can because it’s the right thing to do me and my wife was so joyful we could help this man by showing him the love Christ has for him.

Listen it’s a simple thing to do showing love for one another showing love for our family our spouse our children even to the people we go to church with it’s so simple but many do turn away the love Christ has for others and many a times I myself do that sometime I am afraid to do things to put myself out there on this page however I can be myself and help you who read these messages to see Christ loves each and everyone of you and he today is waiting for you to show your love to in Christ to others as well it’s not that hard even though you may not be ready to bring yourself to doing so but I promise you when you show a brother or sister who is lost helping them see the savior living in and through us it makes you and them see there is love for each and every person we come in contact with.

Be a disciple help and show love to our fellow man and God will bless you I didn’t do this to be blessed I just felt in my heart that I needed to show Christ is the light of the world and he loves us so so much.

It’s an everlasting love that springs up out of our souls and it makes people see there is a mighty Lord who shows his love for all mankind.

Praise God to do good things but praise him even more when your able to love one another I pray today you will take these verses to heart and help people where they are you never know when God will land a person like jay in your path will you help or just turn away?
