Today as I look into my Bible I'm brought to a chapter in the book of psalms and see chapter 15.
Where I see the description of a true citizen of Zion.
There are many citizens today that are citizen of other countries and they leave the country of their birth to go to other countries to find a life they can live better.
I have been thinking lately here in America that we get quite a bit of immigrants coming into our country to find what freedom is and how they can live better lives and make it their dream to make money to take care of their lives and families back home.
Now I see here in Psalm 15:1-5 the description of citizens of Zion.
We see in vs 1.
That a question is given by king David asking God who shall abide in his tabernacle?
We see the tabernacle is the temple of his Holy wonderful presence the people came to his tabernacle to perform sacrifices to honor him and praise him and find repentance of their sins.
Then we see also David ask who shall dwell in thy holy hill.
Where is this Holy hill well by looking at the map in Israel it's in Jerusalem it is a hill so beautiful you can see for miles around Israel.
I wish one day to go there to visit and see the beauty of the land but the ones who will dwell there will be God's true devoted people who are his children who keep their faith in him and follow his word and praise him.
In vs 2.
We see the true citizen of Zion will be the one that walks uprightly and works righteousness and speaks truth in his heart.
Somebody who absolutely loves the Lord and does whatever he can to be faithful.
Reading his word following the commandments given and praying and meditating on the word of God chapter by chapter verse by verse book by book.
In vs 3.
Is where the true citizen will not backbite with his tongue he will not hurt people by hurtful words he will not try and change the Word of God to suit his own ways of living.
He will not do evil to his neighbor like treating them poorly or not helping those in need of help.
They will not treat others mean or treat them as if he doesn't exist.
He won't even take up a reproach against his neighbor he will not fight against his neighbor nor attack them or lie on them I know many that does that today even in the modern church it's shameful but I have noticed these in vs 3 in all churches I've been too.
In vs 4.
I see this person won't even treat the people who hate or don't know God in wrong manners he won't condemn them but honour them in the fear of the Lord showing a true Christian love toward those who need to know God.
The citizen won't curse use of bad words will not come out of his mouth he will not even change the way he is because he is the Lord's child and want people to see that he is faithful.
In vs 5 lastly.
The true citizen of Zion will not use his money in wrong ways and he doesn't take a reward against innocent people he will not sue people just to get money or lie to steal their money but they will never be moved by anyone that harms them or even persecute them they will stand strong in God's word and will do everything to show their love in God.
Does this message today show you in any of it?
I'm not perfect I have fallen short in Many of these categories but I will not move my faith in God but show him I love Him and wanna keep faithful and I honor him and will do everything to keep his word in my heart.
If your not saved I ask you to take this to heart and please take into consideration this message.
